Its just been a while since I've written anything so I figured that I'd give you all an update.  SO College is back in session and I'm taking 2 photo classes and a history of jazz class, its SWEET!!!!!!!   Things are going pretty well there is still some crap going on in my life but you half to take the good with the bad so I'm just taking life as it come.  Until next time PEACE!!!!!!!

So basically a bunch of shit is going through of my head right now and I feel as though I've been trapped by in this ongoing mental state by all the shit that happened over this past semester.  I really just want be able to enjoy my summer and hang out with my friends but so far it feels like I just can't do that because of all the crap that has taken place over the past few months as well as the crap that continues to occur.

SO summer is coming up an I'm looking forward to getting a 3 month break from school especially since I've got some pretty big plans for the summer.  I guess I'm just tired of having to pay and attend classes where I feel like I'm not benefiting AND I have to pay extra for a class that I should be enjoying BUT has actually spawned a LOVE/HATE relationship between me and my passion (photography for all of those of you who don't know, which is probably nobody, but hey you never know).  So anyways thats pretty much it.  PEACE!!!!!!!

Hello to anybody and everybody who's reading.  This is my 3rd entry so far, I know should probably update my journal more often but quite frankly I just don't have the time right know.   Anyways I've been an active member of DA for roughly five months and as some of you have noticed my avatar is the cover of the LP "Led Zeppelin II”. But its time for a change, it feels as though personally I should have an avatar that better represents my deviant name.  SO I am holding a contest to see who, if anybody, is interested in trying to design an avatar that matches my deviant name, “Glass-Assassin”.   The name essentially means that I’m a photographer since I Shoot With Glass.  Since this a contest there will be a prize for the winner.  The rules of the contest as well as the prize are listed below     

Rules, Submission Details, and Tips:
• Contestants are allowed to submit as many entries as they wish.
• Entries should include an avatar that meets the Deviant Art pixel and file size standards, but an additional larger version would also be appreciated.
• Entries should be attached as file(s) to/in an email and sent to my email address: jacobweisman@hotmail.com set the subject as Avatar Contest Entry.
• Contest starts on February 11th, 2009 and ends on April 30th, 2009.
• I am absolutely obsessed with photography, especially vintage, rare, and classic cameras and vintage lenses (simply because they were engraved and are absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. Here is one example www.momentcorp.com/temporary%2…).  My favorite brands are Nikon, Leica, Rollei / Rolleiflex, and Minox.
• Avatars can be animated but they do not have to be (I have no preference either way its entirely up to you just make sure to do your best.)
• One final, note be as creative as possible.  Don’t be afraid to add your own special twists into your idea of what a Glass-Assassin’s avatar should be, I always enjoy seeing people’s creative ideas and visions in motion.

Winner and prize information: A winner shall be declared within one week after the contest ends, the winner will be declared in a follow-up journal entry (unless they wish to remain anonymous, if so send me a note through DA or include it in your submission entry). PRIZE: The winner of the contest shall be allowed to pick one photo from my gallery and will receive an 11”x14” print of that photo.

To all readers, I have a few things I would like to bring up.  

1.  To those of you live in Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia or those who would be willing to come to Washington DC for an exciting event, from November 15-22 there is going to be a week long for photo festival known as: FOTO WEEK DC.  This is the first time this event is taking place and a very good friend of mine is helping to bring it together.  So to all that are interested and are planning on attending I may very well see you there and you will know it is me because I will introduce myself as Jacob Weisman. 2.  In my last journal entry I said that I was listening to Velhalla. They band local to Silver Spring and Takoma Park as well as the DC area.  If you listen to classic rock than you should give definitely give them a listen.  Their demo, which is titled, Be With Me, came out in 2006 and sounds like it came from the era which produced Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Allman Brothers, CREAM, Hendrix, etc.  If your wondering where you can here their songs check out their myspace and their website, which are listed below.
